You are spoilt for choice for beaches: Collignon is 5 minutes from the house in the car , there are beaches on the east coast( Quinéville, Saint Vaast la Hougue, Barfleur...) and on the west coast ( Barneville-Carteret, Portbail) Sea coast, nature and walks With 335km of coastline and more than 4500km of signposted walks, 2 Natural Regional Parks, 5 Nature Reserves and 4000 hectares of land , protected as Natural preservation areas, La Manche has an abundance of multi-faceted natural landscapes. For example, the “Chemin des Douaniers” along the sea coast( GR223) and the magnificent Cap de la Hague, or the marshlands of Carentan.
